The USI Institute for Economic Research (IRE) participated in the 2017 edition of EXPO in Astana, Kazakhstan, which this year is dedicated to the future of energy.
At the Swiss pavilion, IRE set up its “Energy Game”, an interactive installation organised and supervised by Prof. Rico Maggi and Ph.D candidate Alessandra Motz, capable of engaging visitors to consider the effects of energy production on everyday life and the environment, underscoring how individual beliefs can influence consumer decisions.
Around 600 visitors played with the game, including Federal Councillor Ueli Maurer and Councilor of State of the Canton Geneva Pierre Maudet, with their respective delegations, thus providing an opportunity to discuss with them the future of the energy sector in Switzerland.
