Lugano Hangzhou Online Talk: Cross Border Digital Marketing

The Lugano Hangzhou Online Talk: Cross Border Digital Marketing event, organised by the City of Lugano in collaboration with the Artisans Association of Ticino (Aticrea), Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and Centro scolastico per le Industrie Artistiche (CSIA), will be held on 22 April 2021, at 10 am. The objective is to learn about communication strategies and social commerce technologies in handicrafts and design in China.

After a seminar and an exhibition dedicated to the possibilities of collaboration with China in the field of craftsmanship, the City of Lugano has scheduled for 22 April at 10 am the online event "Lugano Hangzhou Online Talk: Cross Border Digital Marketing". The intention is to promote cultural interaction further and deepen the exchange of innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event is organised by the City of Lugano and its Chinese twin city of Hangzhou, in collaboration with the Artisans Association of Ticino (Aticrea), Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) and Centro scolastico per le Industrie Artistiche (CSIA). Some topics related to cross-border digital marketing will be discussed to provide Ticino's artisans with basic knowledge to benefit from Chinese social channels and promote their products in China. Possible intercultural communication strategies, online and offline marketing approaches for the craft industry and the potential of exhibiting their craft products in Chinese fairs will also be tackled.

The event will feature speakers of excellence from Ticino and China:
- Claudio Gianettoni, Vice President of Aticrea
- Gabriele Balbi and Zhan Zhang, Director and Researcher of the China Media Observatory (CMO) at USI
- Roberto Borioli, Director of CSIA
- Xia Jinjin, Founder of Hangzhou Heijiao Tech Company
- Wu Xin, Head of Sina Weibo International
- Wu Yuanyuan, Head of Made in Time in Hangzhou Creative Design Company
- Silvia Del Vitto and Stefano Generali of Intarget SA

The event will be held in Italian and English via Cisco Webex and will be addressed to interested designers and artisans from Ticino. To ensure an effective online exchange, the number of participants will be limited.
