The Facebook Page USI Università della Svizzera italiana (Official Page) is the most informal channel of all. Here students, staff, and faculty of both USI campuses of Lugano, Mendrisio, and Bellinzona exchange ideas, gather information about practical issues and share in real time pictures and tips on events and the nightlife. The headline "Together with USI" is a clear invitation to the whole USI community to be involved.

USI Alumni groupThe presence of USI on LinkedIn is varied and structured around different audiences. The University Page promotes the overall educational offer and is addressed mainly to current and prospect students. The group USI - Università della Svizzera italiana is open to all USI students and graduates, staff and professors, allowing them to keep in touch and share experiences and professional expertise. The group USI Alumni is exclusive to USI graduates for sharing ideas and networking among former classmates. These groups are ideal venues to initiate discussions on topics related to the workplace, to post job offers and, for students and graduates, to seek professional advice from senior alumni. The presence of USI on LinkedIn is underscored with the motto "Professional with USI". You can follow the University page e and request membership to the USI group.
- YouTube – Starring with USI
The YouTube channel USI_university is a resourceful space where you can find various types of videos related to USI activities: interviews with professors on current issues, reports on conferences with selected guest lecturers, news from the world of academic research, and informal videos related to the academic community. The channel goes by the fitting motto “Starting with USI”.
- Instagram – Visual with USI
Through Instagram, USI not only intends to tap into the power of pictures taken on our campus, but also to convey the USI spirit and provide more visibility to the members of the community. The platform is a place for sharing our image, to promote our activities and to strengthen the sense of community. Students, alumni, faculty and staff members represent the main audience of this channel. Our motto is "Visual with USI".

To ensure positive participation in an open environment, we ask to respect others and their opinions and to act with the awareness that our social media channels are public and that you will be held responsible for all content you have posted.
Options for administrators
To guarantee a respectful and constructive dialogue, the administrators reserve the right to remove any inappropriate contents such as:
- comments that are defamatory, libelous, offensive, sexist, racist, discriminatory, that instigate violence, or comments that lead to harassment or which are detrimental to dignity, integrity or other's reputation;
- persona attacks or threats;
- pornographic or obscene content;
- content formulated in a vulgar inappropriate language or in a language that does not allow the administrators to fully understand the meaning of the post;
- misleading content, spam, advertising, propaganda or commercial content;
- contents that infringe intellectual property, privacy, the rights of third parties or the Swiss law in general.
If you believe that your content shouldn't have been cancelled or if, you have general complaints about actions taken by the channel administrator, or wish to discuss terms and conditions, or simply need more information, you can reach us at [email protected].
In case of repeated violations, USI reserves the right to report the authors of such content and block them from our channels.

Any content posted by third parties on our social media does not represent the views and opinions of Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), which cannot therefore be held responsible. Only the profiles listed on this document can be considered official USI profiles. All other profiles are to be considered non-official, and therefore USI cannot be held responsible.
