The Ticino Deputation to the Federal Parliament visits East Campus

The USI-SUPSI East Campus was one of the stops on the day of the President of the Ticino Deputation to the Federal Parliament, scheduled for Wednesday, 31 August 2022. As is customary, every year the Ticino Deputation in Berne organises a summer meeting in the municipality of residence of the incumbent president, who this year is national councillor and Lugano municipal councillor Lorenzo Quadri.

The day's programme alternated between official events and visits to our region's academic and artistic-cultural highlights. In this context, the Ticino Deputation visited the USI-SUPSI East Campus, an opportunity for Università della Svizzera italiana and the University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland to present to the delegation the activities held on the new campus.

Speaking on behalf of USI were USI Council President Monica Duca Widmer, Deputy Rector Lorenzo Cantoni, Dean of the Faculty of Informatics Marc Langheinrich, Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences Giovanni Pedrazzini and Director of the USI Startup Centre Francesco Lurati, along with startup founders Ivo Kwee (BigOmics) and Giuseppe Perale (Regenera).
