Università della Svizzera italiana, in agreement with the Mobility Division of the Department of Territory and the public transport companies, has agreed to postpone the start of classes by half an hour from the autumn 2023 semester. This measure aims to alleviate congestion on public transport during peak hours allowing students and lecturers to travel to the Lugano campuses using less crowded public transport.

Due to the postponement of the class schedule, a new timetable has been created and approved by the Rectorate in April. The evening language courses are also affected by this change.

  • 09:00-10:30 am
  • 11 am-12:30 pm
  • 12:30-1:30 pm (lunch break)
  • 1:30-3:00 pm
  • 3:30-5:00 pm
  • 5:30-7:00 pm (evening language courses)

This change applies to students enrolled in the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society, the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Informatics, and the Master's degree programme in Cognitive Psychology for Health Communication in the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences.
